I have just come back from a fantastic party. My friend decided that she wanted her 50th birthday to take her back to her youth and so she organised a children’s party. We were all to dress up like fairy tale characters and come prepared to play lots of games. We had lots of fun with traditional party games such as pin the tail on the donkey and were given little candy bags if we won. She had fantastic food such as jelly and ice cream, fairy cakes, chocolate cornflake cakes and sweets. At each place setting there was a little present, a balloon, party hat and blower all in lovely child themed gift boxes. She did a fantastic job and I definitely think that this sort of party would have been wasted on a child! We were all high on sugar and exhausted from the games when it was time to go home but luckily she had a slice of cake for us all to take home in little cellophane bags so that we could get a sugar burst to cope with the drive home! I was such a great idea for a party and I only wish that I had thought of it myself.
