Importance of Sound Attenuators

Noise level plays an important role in high level buildings. Regulation of noise level in these buildings helps in avoiding sound pollution. In order to decrease the sound pollution and yet allow air to flow freely sound attenuators are required. These sound attenuators have the ability to control noise and provide required airflow to that particular area. HVAC is a common word which refers to Heating, Ventilating and air-conditioning. This word is used commonly in offices and high buildings where the temperature of the buildings is controlled by ventilation. The ultimate goal of HVAC is to provide good architectural building structure, having high quality indoor air along with good thermal properties.

HVAC sound attenuators are generally employed in axial flow fans of high buildings. These ventilation systems reduce the noise levels as well as high duct velocities generated in those buildings. Duct attenuators are designed in circular, rectangular and square shapes according to the design of the buildings. These ventilators are placed near each other and they have the ability to reduce sound to a large extent. These attenuators also have the ability to reduce infiltration problems generated inside the structures of buildings. Generally engineers take great care when setting up these HVAC attenuators because these are the sole inclusions which maintain temperature inside buildings.
