Usually artists use stretcher bars to mount the canvases on. It?s basically a wood frame on which canvas is mounted so work can be done. Normally they are rectangular in shape but can be shaped canvases also. They differ in the way corners are constructed. Miter joint, which is obtained by cutting the ends at a 45? angle to get a joint, is the most common way making corners. For a canvas painting, one can make their own stretcher bars or you can even buy stretched canvas. For using oil, acrylics or water based paints, there are pre stretched canvas in cotton available which have uniform texture.

For graphic design students or art students, a portfolio case is very important. A portfolio is significant once you pass out of college and go hunting for jobs. Your prospective employer is going to see your portfolio to gain an idea of the kind of work you have done or are capable of doing. Choosing right kind of portfolio cases is also very vital as this will carry the first impression of you to whom so ever you show your portfolio to. Portfolio cases should be selected after a little thought. If time and money permits, then customized portfolio case will really be like an extension of you.

Choosing maternity wear

Earlier fashionable clothes for other than normal sizes were tough to obtain and in maternity clothing, the choices were even lesser. These days many retailers offer petite maternity clothes. You can have maternity gowns, pant suits, maternity dresses from good retailers now. You can find halter necks, strapless, short sleeved dresses in petite size to bigger ones. Like petite ones, the plus size maternity clothes most often stock loose and baggy designs. With some good retailers, one can actually find cool, stylish maternity clothes even with plus size. It no longer means that maternity clothing for petite or plus sizes is dull and boring. While choosing any style, comfort of the expectant mother is of prime importance here.

Nursing clothes are designed keeping comfort of the new mother in mind. As mothers are required to breast feed quite frequently, the nursing clothes have front opening options. A new mother can buy fully opened or partially buttoned front open gowns to feed a baby. A two piece clothing like skirt blouses, trouser and top, more such are ideal for nursing mothers. A pregnant or a new mother can have range of options to choose from; she can have evening dresses, which can be of longer length.

Formal Clothing Problems

I am going to a couple of formal social events in the summer and I have been looking around for some suitable clothing for me and my family. It is quite hard to find something which is suitable for any possible weather condition, is formal enough but not too much, is not black or white but not overly colourful and that we will wear again. It sounds like a big ask but I am sick of buying formal dresses and never wearing them again. I do have some in my wardrobe and I suppose my first stop should be there really to see whether I can wear any of them, perhaps accessorising them up to make them look more fashionable. I can get a nice modern pair of women’s shoes probably a classic court shoe which will work in hot and rainy weather and maybe a nice clutch bag. My husband is easy to dress, I am sure that he has a suit and shirt and tie we can dry clean for him. My children are much harder. The range of formal teen clothing is either a prom dress or a bridesmaids dress and neither of them, are appropriate. The floral dresses seem far too immature and so I am a bit stuck. We will have to start searching really early I think.
