I have just had the most amazing surprise. I am soon to become a grandmother for the first time and my friends held a baby shower for me. It was amazing. They had got together and decided that as a grandmother to be, I would want to celebrate as much as the mother to be (which is true) and I would benefit from having some gifts of things which would be useful for me to keep at my place for when the baby visits. So a small group of friends got together and bought me some lovely baby shower gifts including some burp clothes, bibs, feeding sets and changing mat. It was really kind of them and also so lovely of them to acknowledge that I would enjoy such an occasion. They really put the effort in and had some lovely baby shower decorations as well as having some games. They had a lovely spread of food with some nibbles and sandwiches, lovely champagne and a selection of diaper cakes. It was such a lovely occasion and it meant so much to me to have my friends put in such an effort all for me.
